How to Make the Most of Your Trailer
Requiring an emergency trailer usually arises from encountering an unexpected situation – whether that be a failed cold room in a supermarket, or an influx of stock in a grocery store that has resulted in a shortage of storage space. In order to restore fresh produce and prevent spoilage, it’s important that you know how to make the most of your trailer’s facilities.
The first stage of the process requires speaking to one of our team, who will help decide which trailer is best for you. After delivering the trailer to your location, our experts will then set your trailer up for you, so that it’s ready to use. Once it’s set up, you’ll then be ready to transfer all of your fresh produce into the trailer, making sure to store food in the correct compartments in order to prevent cross contamination.
Each of our trailers are fitted with a galvanised steel chassis (which is extra strong in our Unsinn trailers), and this helps to ensure stability during transit. This is particularly helpful for those who need to tow their trailers to several locations, or for those who are using their trailer for a particular event. Our Cool range also features surplus cooling power with rapid temperature recovery, which helps to prevent the spoilage of fresh produce and restore it back to a safe temperature. This is particularly useful in emergency situations.
Our trailers are also fitted with insulated flooring and double doors, meaning that you can store goods of a larger size, without worrying about safety risks. The additional steps are also very helpful for stepping in and out of the trailer, whilst ensuring maximum safety. We also fit our trailers with no-maintenance wheels so that you don’t have to worry about their upkeep, and can focus on more important things – such as the preparation and service of your produce.
If, however, you are looking for a more specific trailer that will allow for the storage of carcases and the like, make sure to browse our speciality trailers which can be purchased and fitted with hanging rails and rollers to suit butchery functions.
For emergency situations, our trailers are rented on a temporary basis. To take a look at all of our trailers, please click here.
